OS Wrestling Fans,

The latest update from the Coaching staff follows below. One thing to make particular note of - the team and the Pac-12 trophy will be presented at the OS basketball game this Thursday, March 1. The game begins at 7 pm. If you can be there to help honor the team for all their effort, it would be great. Get together with other wrestling fans and relive the glory for a short time, and help root on the basketball team as well.

Another important note: Mark your calendar for the Wrestling Banquet the date of May 5, a Saturday, has been selected. (I believe this will be Mom's Weekend at OSU, but I'm not sure.) Time for the banquet has not be determined yet.

Once again, congratulations to the team and Coaching staff for a very successful tournament!

Subject: OS Wrestling Update!

Corvallis, Oregon- The Beavers returned to Corvallis last night with the trophy from the inaugural Pac 12 Wrestling Championships (and 19^th conference championship in OSU history). There were many highs and a few lows like most wrestling tournaments. Overall, THE BEAVS did a good job competing hard and wrestling aggressively. It is time to prepare for the tournament that matters the most and the one that we judge our season on.

Before anything else is said in regards to the tournament, the FANS and SUPPORTERS of OSU WRESTLING need to be recognized. Orange and Black clad wearing folks of all ages and many locations made the trek to Boise and brought a ton of emotion and support to our wrestlers and staff. They cannot be recognized enough and their support was phenomenal. I think we had the largest contingent of fans in attendance, and without a doubt the most vocal. The support of the fans, parents, boosters, fan club has been great and is a big part of building this program to the highest level. As you have heard before, the staff expects to get to the highest level in college wrestling. A conference championship is nice, but it is a stepping stone to what really matters. We had hundreds of fans in Boise on the same weekend as the Oregon High School State Championships. We are going to continue to build this fan base to become one of the largest and best in the nation. Thanks for the support!

Oregon State advanced six wrestlers to the finals, and came away with four individual champions. Michael Mangrum won a hard-fought overtime match with returning NCAA finalist Boris Novatchkov, with a takedown and near-fall for a 5-1 victory. Mangrum improved his record to 33-3 on the season, and heads to St. Louis with expectations of an NCAA title. Scott Sakaguchi dismantled the field at 149 lbs., with a major decision in the finals. He improved his record to 33-5 going into the NCAA Championships. RJ Pena won the title at 157 lbs. and also picked up his 20^th fall of the season, to lead Division 1 wrestling. He defeated George Ivanov of BSU in the finals by a score of 5-2. At Heavyweight, Clayton Jack continued his march toward the NCAA Championships, with his second conference championship and improved his record to 35-1, with 15 falls heading to St. Louis. Every wrestler contributed to the scoring and the team championship. One thing we always stress is aggressive wrestling, scoring points and looking for bonus points. As you can see by the team scores, every point matters. In 18 matches won by OSU wrestlers, we scored 14 bonus points, which made a difference in the team outcome. The way to beat the best guys and become a dominant program is to wrestle aggressive and hard, and getting bonus points pays off. Our athletes are getting that concept. Besides, it is a lot more entertaining for the fans and a lot more fun than watching wrestlers try to rack up points. The complete OSU results are as follows:

Wrestling To Be Honored At Thursday's Men's Basketball Game

CORVALLIS, Ore. - The Pac-12 Champion Oregon State wrestling team will be honored during the second half of the Oregon State men's basketball game Thursday when the Beavers take on Utah.

The team will be honored during the second media timeout of the half, appearing on the Gill Coliseum court. The game is slated for a 7 p.m. PT start.

The Beavers won their third league title under head coach Jim Zalesky, and 19th in the program's history. Four Beavers - Mike Mangrum (141), Scott Sakaguchi (149), RJ Pena (157) and Clayton Jack (HWT) - won individual titles, the most for Oregon State in a single year since 1995.

Overall, the team is guaranteed of having seven wrestlers compete at the NCAA Championships in St. Louis, March 15-17. Additional entries may be named as at large berths next week when the NCAA announces its bracket.

NORTHWEST REGIONAL TRAINING CENTER

The NWRTC annual Golf Tournament fundraiser will be held on June 15^th. We really need players and sponsors to be a part of this event so we can continue to build our Club program, which in turn helps us attract and develop the best high school wrestlers. This will help Oregon State University climb to the top of NCAA wrestling. Please look at the attachment above, or contact Event Director Troy Steiner (541-230-0614) to get involved. We cannot express enough, what a huge part the NWRTC club will contribute to the success of OSU wrestling. Everyone that takes part in the Golf Tournament has a great time.

National Duals - Close, So Close!

OS Wrestling Fans,

The victory was not quite there for the Beavs in the second dual of the day, losing to Iowa 14-22.

Match winners: 149 - Sakaguchi by decision, 157 - Pena by major, 197 - Meeks by major, and Hwt - Jack by decision, Congratulations!

There were a couple of close ones that would have made the story a little different. Mangrum lost in OT, and Vinson gave up a lead to lose a close match in the final seconds.

My apologies to anyone looking for video, I just found out when going back to email from several fans that there was live video from another source, a little too late! Sorry, maybe everyone else found it.

National Duals - Beavs 27 Iowa State 12; Iowa Next!

The Beavs won their dual in the semi finals at the Regional National Duals this afternoon, beating Iowa State 27 to 12!! Way to go, gentlemen!!

Match winners: 133 - Drucker by decision, 141- Mangrum by tech fall, 149 - Sakaguchi by decision, 157 - Pena by fall, 174 - Tuck by fall, and hwt - Jack by major

Note: John Tuck has reappeared in the line-up at 174. Great way to start a new weight, John!!

OS now takes on the Iowa Hawkeyes in the final dual of the day. Dual will begin at 3:00 pm CST, or 1:00 PST.

Beavers Take Down the Cardinal

OS Wrestling Fans,

RJ started off the afternoon with a win for the Beavers, but then the Beavs dug a hole that got deeper and deeper until Taylor Meeks finally put a stop to the digging and turned it around.

The Beavers had majors from Meeks, Roberts, Mangrum and Sakaguchi. Pena and Jack won by decision. That made the final score OSU 22 Stanford 14. Congratulations to all the winners!

Since Oklahoma cancelled our dual for next Friday, the next possible action for the Beavs will be an open tournament, the California Collegiate Open at San Francisco State in San Francisco. Not sure who will be heading down to participate. The varsity is off until Feb 12 when they travel to Ames, Iowa, for the first of the National Duals.

Wrestling This Weekend!

While the Beavers closed out the home meet season last weekend, they are far from finished.

This weekend will have a full slate of action, with the varsity team traveling to Boise on Friday and Stanford on Sunday, and another Open Tournament on Saturday for the others on the squad. Read all the details on the weekend's duals at the OS site:

Note that according to that article, there will be live video for both duals, but no live stats.
Saturday's Open Tournament will be the Boxer Open at Pacific University, Forest Grove, Oregon. Parents of Squad members, be sure to check with your wrestler to see if he is competing, as they are not required to be there. Not sure how we will find out the results. Track Wrestling does not seem to have this tournament on their list.

We have Pac-12's on sale right now. You can purchase an all session ticket for $30 for an adult or $20 for either of the individual sessions. Don't forget, if you want to go to the Pac-12's, we are chartering a bus. This is not your high school rooter bus, it is a touring bus complete with on-board rest room. It's not Grey Hound. We will not be stopping at every small town along the highway, picking up strangers. We have a pick up spot in Corvallis, the Hilton Garden Inn, and Tualatin, the Rolling Hills Church. Both places are allowing us to park for free for the weekend. Travel in style, don't worry about the weather, be with friends and fellow wrestling fans! $70 per person Round trip for FALL members, $99 for non-club members.

We are planning a stop for lunch both ways, probably in Pendleton. Let me know if you would like a seat on the bus. Next week we will be considering the exact size of the bus, so make sure your seat is reserved! Questions?

200 Wins for Coach Z!

OS Wrestling Fans,

North Dakota State made it a little more exciting than some of us were expecting, but in the end, Senior Clayton Jack chalked up a decision to make the score OSU 20, NDS 13. That gave Coach Jim Zalesky his 200th career win as a coach. Congratulations to Jim and the team!

It was also Senior Day for Jason Lara, Garrett Drucker and Clayton Jack. Jason's recent knee surgery had him out on the mat with crutches for the ceremony, but both Garrett and Clayton got to finish off their careers at OS with a final win in Gill. We wish them well with the rest of the season, still a long ways to go before the final whistle at the NCAA's.

Oklahoma Cancels - This Weekend Last Home Meets & Senior Day!

As if the flood isn't enough bad news, Oklahoma cancelled their meet with us. It was scheduled for Friday, Feb 3. Apparently they had too many things on their schedule already.

That means that Senior Day will be this Sunday, Jan 22, the dual with North Dakota State.

Everyone try to be here Sunday to honor our seniors, Jason Lara, Garrett Drucker and Clayton Jack for their last home meet. There will be a Social following.

Next up, our last home meet of the season, and Senior Day for Jason Lara, who had knee surgery this past Monday, Garrett Drucker and Clayton Jack. Come and give them a great Beaver Thank You for all their hard work over these past years!! That's this Sunday, Jan. 22, at 2 pm versus North Dakota State. The Senior Recognition will be before the start of the meet, so make sure you are there a little early so you don't miss it!

There are quite a few of you who have not yet picked up your FALL membership packets, which includes your wrestling lapel pin and schedule magnet. Please stop by the table in the lobby of Gill before the meet and pick it up. Some of the FALL Board members will be out there until about 10 minutes before the meet starts. You can also get your packet at the entry to the Social over in Reser, which will follow the conclusion of the meet.

If you were trying to watch via the live-stream, it was a little frustrating as the feed was having problems and only finally came through during the 184 match, but the live stats worked.

Clayton had the last fall of the day, but not the first by the Beavers; Pat Rollins, Scott Sakaguchi and RJ Pena also won by fall, Mike Mangrum won by tech fall and Cody Weishoff won by decision. Congratulations to them and the team for the victory!

Arizona Meet on Sunday and Other Stuff

The Beavers head out on the road again for one more meet before returning home to Gill next weekend. First up, Sunday, Jan 8, in Tempe, AZ, the meet starts at 1:00 pm PST. If you will be in Tempe, start time is 2 pm mountain time.

Looking ahead to prepare for the end of the season, (yes, it's time already!), I've had some questions about tickets. Tickets for the Pac-12 Championships should be purchased from Boise. the OS ticket office will not be handling any of those. I have not checked with Boise to see if they are available yet. Has anyone else checked with Boise?

If you wish to sit in the Oregon State section at the NCAA's, you do need to purchase your tickets from the OS ticket office. They are still waiting for the staff and team families to determine how many they need before releasing the rest. They believe the tickets will be released about mid-week next week. I will let you know when I hear for certain. So if you are a wrestling parent, make sure you get your request for tickets in soon!!

Speaking of the Pac-12 Championships in Boise, Sunday Feb 26, ...... We need to know who is planning to join us on the bus for a ride to Boise. Get your names in to me ASAP. We have a cushy tour bus lined up for the ride over to Idaho. Leave the driving to a professional and enjoy the company of fellow Beaver wrestling fans. The Beavs have a great team this year, let's make sure they have some good fan support over in Boise.

Bus details: First pick-up: Corvallis, Hilton Garden Inn, near Gill Coliseum. Park in the hotel lot behind the hotel. Be there 7:30 to check in, bus departs at 8 am.

Second pick-up: Tualatin, Rolling Hills Church,

Rolling Hills Church parking lot, 3550 SW Borland Rd., Tualatin (I-205, Exit #3)

Parking Info: Overnight parking in Rolling Hills Church Parking lot IS permitted. Park in the lot furthest east (by the ball fields). Parking is the responsibility of the vehicle owner and not The FALL Booster Club.

Bus will arrive approximately 9:15am, passengers & bags loaded, then depart to Boise!

Don’t forget: Overnight bag(s), PAC-12 Tickets, snacks or beverages, reading materials.

Bus Rules/Accommodations: On board rest rooms, no smoking, no alcohol, under carriage storage for luggage is available.

Mike Mangrum brings home the title from the Southern Scuffle! Congratulations, Michael!! Unfortunately, Clayton Jack came up a little short, losing his final match 2-0, still good enough for a second place finish. Since my last update, Chad Hanke also won his final match, taking a third place finish. The Beavers hung on to fifth place. Congratulations to the whole team and coaching staff!

The Beavers at Southern Scuffle

Break time is over, time to go back to wrestling!! The Beavers are traveling across country to Chattanooga, Tennessee, for the Southern Scuffle on Jan 1 & 2.

Before the details there, I wanted to make sure everyone knew about another story, connected to wrestling. Long-time OS wrestling fans may remember a name from class of '97, Andy Sapp. Andy made it into a story in the Oregon Stater, Winter 2012 Edition, page 54. While, by his own admission, never a star, some of us remember Andy for the side-splitting senior talk he gave at his final wrestling banquet. Andy has gone on to prove he has the tenacity of a winning wrestler by building a ranch not far from Boise for troubled boys.

Reno Results - Third Place!

OS Wrestling Fans,

Congratulations to the Beavers on their third place finish at the Reno Tournament of Champions!! The Beavs hung on to third place all day, couldn't quite catch up to Wyoming or Oklahoma State.

Clayton Jack was our only individual champion, taking the finals by forfeit over teammate Chad Hanke, who was wrestling unattached. Clayton is undefeated on the season and has surpassed the 100 wins mark in his OS career! Congratulations to Clayton!!

Congratulations also go to the other Beavers who placed: Hanke 2nd, Mangrum 2nd, Drucker & Pena 3rd, Roberts 4th, Sakaguchi 5th. Good job, gentlemen!!

Also notable - RJ Pena's five pins for the day, which take him to 12th on the OS all time pin records!! Garret Drucker won the most matches of the day, with a 7-1 record for the RToC.

The Beavers returned from Las Vegas and went straight into Final Exams this week, while also preparing for a couple of Pac 12 dual meets on the road. We will face Cal State Bakersfield and Cal Poly this weekend after a quick turn-around from Las Vegas and getting our final exams and projects completed. Several key conference match-ups await on the individual front, along with some that have national implications as well.

Last week, the Beavers had five placers and crowned two Champions at the prestigious Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas, Nevada. Michael Mangrum and Clayton Jack were winners at 141 lbs. and Heavyweight, respectively, with Mangrum adding the Outstanding Wrestler Award. Mangrum scored 46 points in his first three matches on day 1, before taking down returning NCAA finalist Boris Novachkov of Cal Poly in the semi-finals. He defeated Hunter Steiber of Ohio State in the finals, who had knocked off the defending NCAA Champ. Clayton Jack won in dramatic fashion with a fall in the final ten seconds, in a 4-4 match. Jack had a very impressive tournament up until then as well. Oregon State also had placers in Scott Sakaguchi, R.J. Pena, and Taylor Meeks. The team finished in 5^th place, which was a descent performance. We know we are capable of more though, and will keep working to get there.

This week, Oregon State has seven wrestlers ranked in the top 20 of the National Polls, and the team overall is in the 12th-13th range by several of the national rankings . Not looking back too far into history, but that seems like the first time we have had as many individuals in the rankings in a while. We have a lot of room to get better still, especially with the younger guys on this team. This team has 2 seniors and 5 freshman/sophomores. So we feel that we can still keep getting better as the season progresses. Jack moves to a consensus #4, while Mangrum is slotted in at #2.

Chad Hanke also won the Las Vegas Olympic Trials qualifier at Heavyweight over the weekend while representing the Northwest Regional Training Center. Chad added another former NCAA Champion to his list in the victory column, defeating former NCAA HWT Champion David Zabriskie of Iowa State. Chad as you know has been on a great run since last spring and looks to build on that success throughout the year.

If you are interested in NCAA tickets this year, make sure to consider going through our ticket office and sitting in the OSU section! Call 1-800- GoBeavs before they are sold out. We would love to have you in our section. I know that they will not last, so act now if you don’t want to be on the outside looking in. We had an awesome support group in Vegas, and it is something that we want to continue to grow. The guys and staff recognize the support, appreciate it, and it does not go unnoticed.

One last wrap-up for the day. OS Wrestling had a pretty good day today. Not only did we have the two Champions at Cliff Keen, Mangrum & Jack, but Mike Mangrum won the Outstanding Wrestler award, as well. Congratulations, Mike!!

Team scores don't seem to be published anywhere, but Intermat's story says Ohio State won, Michigan was second, Wyoming Third. Coach Roberts told me that Nebraska was fourth, and the Beavers held on to 5th place.

We also had another champion in Las Vegas today. Chad Hanke won first place at 120 kg in the National Freestyle Olympic Trials Qualifier event held there. (results at Track Wrestling)

Bus to the Pac-12's

OS Wrestling Fans,

The season is just getting underway, but time flies, and the bus to the Pac-12's in Boise, ID, is starting to fill seats. We have chartered a 55 passenger bus for the drive across the mountains. It will pick up passengers in Corvallis, then the Portland area, on Saturday, Feb 25, and be in Boise by the evening. The tournament will be all day, Sunday Feb 26, then the bus will return us on Feb 27, Monday.

Cost is $70 per person round-trip for FALL Club members, and $99 for non-club members. We also have a block of rooms, quite reasonably priced, right across the street from campus. To reserve your room, contact Jana Iwasaki for the hotel info. jana.iwasaki@gmail.com

To reserve your seat on the bus, contact me, and let me know who will be riding and if you will be boarding in Portland or Corvallis. Payment in full is due by Feb 3, 2012. If your payment is not in by then, your seat is not guaranteed.

In Corvallis, we will pick up at the Hilton Garden Inn. They have graciously offered us the use of their parking lot, in back where the HUT riders leave cars. It is fenced around the back and lit at night. You do not have to stay there to be able to leave a car, there is no charge. They will give us parking permits for your dashboard. As usual, it is at your own risk.

We are still looking in the Portland area for a pick-up spot. We thought about using the Clackamas Town Center, but found out that overnight parking is not allowed. People could use MAX to get to CTC, there would be no central parking for cars. Does anyone have any ideas of a different place we could use? It would be somewhere in the I-5, I-84 corridor, room for 20-30 cars at most, overnight parking allowed, room for a large bus to manuever. A Park & Ride? A school? or?

Any ideas are welcome!

The bus holds only 55 passengers, so make your plans soon. Remember, it's nice to leave the driving to someone else, especially in February, when the weather can be nasty, especially in the Gorge! Join us on the bus!! Cheer the Beavs on to the Pac-12 Championship!

Tournament Schedule

Just got a question from a fan about the schedule for tournaments where the guys on the squad who are not wrestling varsity might participate.

I thought I had sent this out already, but I may have forgotten. If I did, this will just be a reminder. Two of the tournaments have already been completed, the Southern Oregon Open and The Spokane Open (last weekend). Here are the others:

Saturday, Dec 3, Pacific University is hosting the Oregon Collegiate Tournament in Forest Grove, Oregon.

Dec. 18 - Reno Tournament of Champions - Reno, NV, the varsity will go plus a few extra guys, check with your wrestler to see if he is going

Jan 21 - Clackamas Open - Clackamas Community College, Oregon City, OR

Jan 28 - Boxer Open - Pacific University, Forest Grove, OR

Feb 4 - California Collegiate Open, San Francisco State, San Fransisco, CA

The guys are not required to enter these tournaments, but they do provide and opportunity for them to pick up experience. Check with your wrestler to make sure he will be there, if you want to watch him at a particular venue.

The Missouri Meet and Other Stuff

OS Wrestling Fans,
Oregon State had a bit of a rough start in the match-up with Missouri, but at least we fans had a lot to cheer about in the last two matches.

Taylor Meeks - 197, and Clayton Jack - Hwt, both recorded pins for the team. They had the fans back on their feet for the end of the meet and brought the score up to a respectable 21-18. Great job, guys! Keep those pins coming! We love them! Congratulations to all the Beaver winners, Mangrum, Sakaguchi, Meeks and Jack. Missouri is no push-over.

Fans who made their way over to the Valley Football Center afterwards for the Social received the added benefit of "take-out". We had expected a few more people to come, so there was lots of extra food. The serving staff brought out boxes for people to take food home. See what you missed?!

The remaining Socials will be held back in Reser, at the Club, with the exception of the one after the Northern Colorado meet on January 20. Then we will meet at Papa's Pizza in south Corvallis. More about that when we get closer to the date.

Legacy Meet - Correction

OS Wrestling Fans,

Correction to my last email, tickets for the Legacy Meet (vs Missouri) are regular price, not $10 each as I stated. If you have season tickets, they are already in your pack, you don't have to do anything extra.

I have heard from fans that the ticket booth was slow in printing out tickets, so it really helps to have your tickets in hand before you get here!

If you are not able to attend, you can follow the action on-line. This from the OS web site: Media> Live stats will be provided through trackwrestling.com and a link to each meet is available on osubeavers.com. Also, follow wrestling on Twitter.com/OSU_Wrestling for updates as each meet progresses.
Members of The FALL Fan Club, the Board needs your help! Increased interest in the Club, due to the performance of the team, has brought more congestion waiting to get in to the Socials, etc. Anyone interested in helping out, please let us know.

If you are any early arriver, we could use help manning the table in the lobby in Gill, answering questions, taking membership applications, etc. It would be best if you could be there by 6:15.

At the Socials, we could use help immediately following the meets. Several greeters at the door could direct people where they need to go, e.g. if they want to join, where to find the membership applications, non-members to the place they pay admission, members, where to show their ID badge and pick up their door prize tickets, etc. People to help sell door prize tickets or t-shirts or answer questions would also be helpful!

Any tour directors out there? We can use your expertise in organizing our bus trip.

The Board greatly appreciates all help! Thank you!

Last, the Club has had a website, but it has been sort of left behind for the last few years. We are trying to get it going again. Now we have it in a blog format, so it is easier for all of the Board to contribute. You can get to it by: http://www.oregonstatewrestling.com/

Weekend Recap (11/18-11/20)

OS Wrestling Fans,

What a weekend it was for OS Wrestling! The varsity squad had two dominating victories, one over Simon Fraser, the other over cross border rival, Boise! The Border Axe was carried victoriously across the mat by team captain, Clayton Jack. Definitely worth the price of admission! (By the way, check that axe out if you get a chance. It's actually made of solid wood.)

Thanks to all that turned out this past weekend for our home opening weekend of OSU wrestling. It was a good weekend overall, with wins over Simon Fraser and Boise State. The Boise State meet ended with a 32-10 win for the good guys, OSU. Getting big wins for the Beavs against the Broncos were freshman Pat Rollins (125), James Roberts (133) and Taylor Meeks (197), all recording pins. Scott Sakaguchi and Michael Mangrum recorded major decisions and Clayton Jack controlled his match in a rematch from last years’ Pac- 10 finals. Ty Vinson found a way to pull out a close match at 174 lbs.

It is a short week as we prepare for a very good Missouri team on Friday night at 7 PM. Missouri is a team that will bring in several nationally ranked wrestlers and it should be a good meet. Anyone wanting to get some of Thanksgiving dinner out of you, come down to Gill and scream and holler for The Beavs. It is also The Legacy Meet, with all ticket sales going toward the Wrestling Endowment Fund here at OSU. We would like to see a crowd about 2x the size of this on Friday night. Bring a few friends along, we will hook them into regulars.

Special congrats to OSU great Greg Strobel on the announcement that he will be inducted this spring into The National Wrestling Hall of Fame! The Scappoose, Oregon native had a stellar career here at OSU, winning a pair of NCAA Championships, before going onto a great post collegiate career in coaching with Lehigh University and USA Wrestling among other honors.

Another Oregonian, Fred Fozzard- the 1969 World Freestyle Champion will also be inducted. What a great year for the state of Oregon and another example of the rich wrestling tradition and history in our great state.

This past weekend, we also had several wrestlers compete in the Spokane Open. Champions included Garrett Drucker at 133, Alex Elder at 157, and freshman Seth Thomas at 165 (who pinned his way through the tournament). That is now two tournament championships for Seth on consecutive weekends. Anthony Harris (141) finished 2^nd, and freshman Drew VanAnrooy made his college debut with a 3^rd place finish at 141 bs. Brian Engdahl (184) finished 4^th, and Nick Schlagger (149) was 5^th.

The Cliff Keen Invitational in Las Vegas the following week. The tournament will include many of the nation’s top teams and individuals, so we can get some great competition and see where we stack up at this point of the season.

This Saturday, November 26^th- OSU and the OWA will host the second annual MAKE A DIFFERENCE TOURNAMENT for kids wrestlers of all ages, here on campus in the Truax Center. Last year, there were about 900 wrestlers and it promises to be a great pre-season competition once again. It is only $15 to compete, go to www.wrestlingnorthwest.com and look under “events” page. Weigh-ins are both Friday night from 5-6 and Saturday morning. All wrestlers that weigh-in on Friday evening will receive a ticket to that evening’s match vs. Missouri at 7 PM!

Don’t forget to sign up for the Fall Club, the official Fan club for OSU wrestling. Benefits include complimentary admission to all post-meet socials and other opportunities. As mentioned at last weekends’ social, we will have a fan bus traveling to Boise for the Pac 12 Championships. It will be a lot of fun for those involved.

Legacy Meet - Missouri

OS Wrestling Fans,

The Legacy Meet (formerly known as "The Endowment Meet") is coming up this Friday, the day after Thanksgiving! So get your shopping done, your turkey digested, forget what's on television, it can't be as good as wrestling, and come on over to Gill Coliseum and help build the OS Wrestling Endowment. All gate receipts go to the Wrestling Endowment Fund.

Here are a few things to know about this Friday:

Wrestling starts at 7 pm. Doors open at 6 pm. Consider coming a little early. Ticket lines could be long. Those people who arrived 10 minutes before starting time on Sunday missed Taylor Meeks' exciting pin. They were still standing in line. If you have season tickets, and you have them with you, you can enter at the corner doors at the back, you don't have to go through the long front lines.

Tickets for this meet are $10 each. Helps the Endowment Fund.

Any autograph hounds in your group? The wrestling team will have an autograph signing session after the Missouri meet. I believe it will be held in Gill. Bring your pens and whatever you want signed!

Due to the team being delayed to sign autographs, the Social will be delayed accordingly. So relax and take your time coming over for the Social, when the team is finished, you'll know it is time. The meatballs can wait.

This Social will be held in Valley Football Center, third floor, instead of Reser-Club. The Club is in use for something else, so don't wander in to the wrong party! Valley Football Center is in the building that forms the north end zone of Reser Stadium. Doors are on the north side. Stairs are to the left, elevator to the right.

OSU Defeats Boise State 32-10

Simon Fraser and Boise This Weekend!

The first two meets of the season are Friday night (11/18; 7:00pm) against Simon Fraser, and Sunday we wrestle Boise State (11/20; 1:00pm). Both meets are in Gill and there will be after-meet socials in 3rd. level Reser Stadium.
